Raymond Blanc to attend opening of
Alan Murchison's new restaurant Paris House
as Guest of Honour

09 February 2010

On Tuesday 9 February, Raymond Blanc's protegé Alan Murchison will open his third restaurant Paris House. Raymond will be there to join the celebrations.

Set in 22 acres of scenic parkland, and ideally situated for both local and London patronage, Paris House is set close to Woburn‟s famous golf course and has the full backing of the Duke of Bedford himself. Built in traditional Tudor architecture, and refurbished by specialist design consultants Trevillion Interiors, Paris House will accommodate 35 covers as well as private dining facilities. Murchison is also looking to offer an inspirational Chef's Table for six guests on a regular basis.

Formerly run by the late Peter Chandler for many years, Paris House built its reputation on superb French cuisine. Murchison will be presenting his own contemporary and stylish menu that encompasses modern twists on classics that has built his reputation nationwide as one of the great chefs of our time.

Murchison, along with his team, already runs two separate Michelin starred restaurants outside London, namely L'Ortolan in Shinfield, Berkshire and La Bécasse in Ludlow, Shropshire.

Murchison said: “Paris House is totally unique. It's a truly stunning destination venue and I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to follow in Peter's footsteps and bring the magic of the property alive.  It's a very different style of establishment from our other restaurants and that is part of our challenge.  We've got some terrific concepts underway
across the proposed menu development and I'm very much looking forward to sharing these with our guests”.
