Raymond Blanc at the Food is GREAT Britain
reception at 10 Downing Street
01 May 2012
On Monday 30 April, the Prime Minister, the Right Hon David Cameron
hosted a reception at 10 Downing Street for 150 of the top chefs,
restaurateurs and producers in the UK. The event, at which
Michelin-starred chef Brett Graham catered, was to launch VisitBritain's
Food is Great campaign, in partnership with the SRA..

A short film was recorded at the event including interviews with chefs including Gordon Ramsey, Bill Granger, Thomas Keller and Michel Roux Jr:
Prior to the reception, Raymond was one of six chefs who took part in a
video to promote Food is GREAT Britain, part of VisitBritain's Great
Britain campaign.
The film, made in association with the Sustainable Restaurant
Association (SRA), features Raymond Blanc, Brett Graham, Ruth Rogers,
Atul Kochhar, Angela Hartnett and Fergus Henderson explaining what
British food means to them. They list chicken, Stilton, Roe deer,
Cornish pasties, crumble and smoked salmon, as some of their favourite
British foods. The film was aired for the first time at the reception,
and can be seen here:
