Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is No 2 on Sunday Times Food List 2011

31 October 2011

At an awards ceremony held in London, Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons was named second best restaurant in the UK in the Sunday Times Food List. First place was taken by The Ledbury in London, and Gidleigh Park, last year's winner, was No 3.

The Sunday Times Food List is based on food quality alone, chosen by 8,000 restaurant goers from across the UK and compiled by Harden's Restaurant Guide in conjunction with Rémy Martin.

Other findings from the Sunday Times Food List of the top 100 restaurants in Britain published on Sunday 30 October, include that half of the top 100 restaurants are outside London (up from 40% last year); while Asian restaurants have fallen by half; and there are 31 new entries.

The Sunday Times Food List Top Five UK Restaurants:
1 The Ledbury, Notting Hill, London
2 Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, Great Milton, Oxfordshire
3 Gidleigh Park, Chagford, Devon
4 Le Gavroche, Mayfair, London
5 Waterside Inn, Bray, Berkshire
