At midday on Tuesday 19th June 2012 four teams of chefs and foodies will set off from the Lake District. Their mission? To see which team can dine in the most Michelin-star restaurants around the UK in 48 hours. Organised by Visionary Dining, the teams will be followed by Big Hospitality as they travel non-stop day and night dropping into restaurants at all hours just to sample a tasting dish before dashing back to their cars and driving (within the speed limit) off to their next restaurant. Team 4 aims to arrive at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons at 11.45pm on Tuesday 19 June, where they will be provided with a dish representative of the kitchens at Le Manoir. The team will photograph the dish as evidence of having visited the restaurant. The event is in support of Hospitality Action, the benevolent fund for the UK Hospitality Industry. Our hope is that we can raise £10,000 by the public and industry pledging donations online before and during this unique, annual event.
