Thame Food Festival 2012

Hello friends

On Saturday 29 September I joined my friends at the Thame Food Festival as we do each year. We are very happy and proud to support our local town's food festival, and to encourage all those seeking to reconnect with the sources of their food: local, sustainable, seasonal - and delicious! I took along my trusty assistant Kush, and also a team from the Raymond Blanc Cookery School.

As well as signing huge numbers of books (look at the queue!) and meeting so many lovely people, young and old, we also did a cookery demonstration, and the Cookery School team took part in what has become an annual contest between the RB Cookery School and Hardings Restaurant at Aylesbury College. Still smarting from defeat last year, the RBCS team managed to win this time! I expect there will be a return match next year!


Now Kush is signing books too!

It is always such a pleasure to meet so many lovely people, and to talk to them about their passions and pleasures. I am always happy to hear that someone has tried one of my recipes and had success with it, or to find out what they would like to see in a new book, or a new programme.
