MONDAY 25 APRIL 2011 • THE ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT AT LE MANOIR
Le Manoir's Easter Egg Hunt

Hello friends
Easter Sunday is the day of the traditional Easter Egg Hunt at Le Manoir. For many children - and their equally eager parents! - this is a highlight of the year, as they race around the house and grounds of Le Manoir competing to see who can find the most eggs - and claim the amazing, home made egg (see above) which is the first prize.

Blessed with the most glorious, sunny weather, we began the hunt in the morning. Two girls who have competed every year for the last seven years created this amazing map of last year's hiding places (above) to aid them in their search... they still lost!!

It didn't take long for all the eggs and chocolate bunnies (except one - above!) to be piled into baskets. The hunters then bring back their treasure to be counted:
Fortunately, Philip Newman-Hall - our General Manager - is happy to count them all: this is not a job for me! I am no accountant! Eventually the counting was over and the winners were declared:
Our runner up:

Another happy girl and her papa:

And the winner of the grand prize:

I hope she shares all that chocolate! I love our Easter Egg Hunt, and this was a wonderful, happy day with lots of fun and laughter.
Now it is over for another year, but we have so much more to look forward to, as spring surrounds us.
My best wishes to you all
